More about the Event:
On August 25th, the second round of Artificial Intelligence Forum, which co-sponsored by Chinese Association for Science and Technology (CAST-GNY), Chinese Institute of Engineers (GNY), The Chinese Finance Association, and USTC Alumni Association in Greater New York, was held in the Microsoft Technology Center in Time Square.
The forum invited renowned AI area leaders to talk about how Artificial Intelligence was being used and advanced in the area of finance and beyond. Dr. Manuela Veloso gave the audience a very interesting speech of the research in artificial intelligence and robotics. Her humorous and interactive presentation not only provided the audiences the development of AI research but also brings the interest to a very technical and specific topic. Our special guest talked about how to utilize and mine the specific data that suitable for a specific company’s purpose. The guest also shared the research of artificial intelligence and deep learning, and management of researchers and software developers for applying machine intelligence to large-scale business data analysis and to speech/image/text multimodal information processing. Professor Chen studies machine learning and optimization, high-dimensional statistics and operations research. He is developing parametric and non-parametric statistical methods as well as efficient optimization algorithms to address challenges in high-dimensional data analysis. During the presentation, he used examples that familiar to the audiences to elaborate his research and analysis of the AI technology. Dr. Ching-Yung Lin and Dr. Terence Lim talked about their missions for founding Graphen and the current research results of their company.
During the panel talk, Dr. Xi Chen, Dr. Kevin Zhou, Dr. Terence Lim, and Richard Tong shared with us their research on AI in education, finance, and health industries. They talked about the reason and motivation for stepping into the AI area.

The forum was very successful and educational, we appreciate all the guests that share with us their hard researches in the Artificial Intelligence field and interact with our audience during the whole afternoon.
